[Also in Group XXX] Lengths of wood 6 are fed to a single saw 4 or a gang saw by a conveyer 2 against which the wood is pressed by rollers 7 and the conveyer comprises articulated plate-like members arranged in an endless band and provided with a covering 5 of rubber or other material having a high coefficient of friction. The covering may be in the form of plates secured to the articulated members by glueing, screwing or vulcanizing and may have a knurled or latticed surface pattern.
