731,607. Belt fastenings. SANDVIKENS JERNVERKS AKTIEBOLAG. May 7, 1952 [March 14, 1952], No. 11550/52. Class 80 (1). [Also in Groups VIII and XXX] Two metal strips 13 are joined together to form a wide conveyer belt by overlapping their adjacent edges by a third metal strip 11 and an intermediate layer 12 of elastic material such as rubber, and covering the assembly -with rubber or other elastic material 14. The ends of the belt are secured together by a similar joint, the strip 11 and the layer 12 being cut off short of the ends to be joined and a metal strip 15 together with a layer 16 of elastic material being placed to overlap these ends, the joints then being covered with rubber.
