1394534 Belt fastenings CLOUTH GUMMIWERKE 8 May 1973 [13 May 1972] 21851/73 Heading F2Q A method of joining the ends of conveyer belts with embedded tensile members comprises first removing from equal end portions at least most of the belt material embedding the tensile members, arranging the members in interdigitated groups as in Fig. 3 (where, optionally, some of the members are shortened) and covering with fresh belt material. The distance between adjacent groups may be at least 2 mm. and at least twice, and preferably ten times the distance between tensile members of the same group.
