Abstract

788,764. Knitting-machines. MAYER, ERSTE HESSISCHE WERKMASCHINENFABRIK GES., K. Dec. 7, 1955 [Feb. 23, 1955], No. 35145/55. Class 74 (2). The needles of a flat-bed machine are secured in holders 12 which are mounted on the bar 10 of the machine. The butts 16 of the needles engage in holes in the holder 12 and are secured in position by a spring angle-plate 23, one flange 25 of which engages in a slot 26 in the holder 12 whilst the other flange 24 presses the needles into slots formed in the holder. The holders are mounted in the bar 10 in a groove 11 and retained in position by a lamp plate 27. Instead of having butts 16, each needle may be provided with an enlargement 16a which engages a corresponding recess in the holder 12.
