Abstract

787,817. Water closets. SHANKS & CO., Ltd. Sept. 12, 1956 [Sept. 12, 1955], No. 25964/55. Class 26. Means for attaching a flushing cistern to a closet in a close-coupled closet set comprises a plate 4, having sockets 5, between the rear platform 1 of the closet basin and the base 3 of the cistern, an outlet pipe 6, a nut 10 between the plate 4 and platform 1, and two stud bolts 13 passing through orifices 12 in the platform 1 into the sockets 5. A coned washer 16 of resilient material seals the base 3, another such washer 17 beneath a metallic washer 18 sealing the platform 1.
