787,725. Filters. SEITZ, E. LIEGEL-, SEITZ, R. LIEGEL-, SEITZ, H., SEITZ, G., LIEBLER, E., LIEBLER, H., SEITZ, I., and SPENGLER, H. April 13, 1956 [April 16, 1955], No. 11268/56. Class 46. A filter, adapted to the form of filter plate 10, comprises a plurality of sheets 13, separable one from another, arranged about a supporting layer 11 and fixed to it at their lower ends. The sediment and filtering aid is deposited on the outside sheet and on completion of the filtration the outer sheet is torn through its upper edge, by means of tear-off flaps provided, thus allowing the next sheet to receive the new charge. The sheets 13 are preferably made of wet resistant and boiling resistant cellular artificial wool fibres and the supporting layer 11 of cardboard or pulp-like material. The filter plate 10 may be constructed as a hollow chamber.
