Abstract

785,041. Look-out reflectors for vehicles. LUCAS (INDUSTRIES), Ltd., J. Jan. 3, 1956 [Oct. 8, 1954], No. 29031/54. Class 103(2) [Also in Group XXXV] A pivotally mounted mirror for a vehicle is adjusted by an electromagnet having a plunger to which angular as well as linear motion is imparted, a crank device transmitting the angular movement to the mirror, as shown, the plunger is forced to move angularly by the engagement of the pin i thereon in one of the oblique slots in the U-shaped stationary member g which embraces the end of the plunger. The eccentrically placed axial pin j on the plunger projects through a slot k in a plate m forming a crank for rocking the mirror n about its pivot o.
