Abstract
784,983. Reciprocating pumps. TECALEMIT, Ltd., (Deutsche Tecalemit Ges.). July 4, 1956, No. 20745/56. Class 102(1). A piston 8 actuated in one direction by a cam 44 and returned by a spring 22 is prevented from returning by a tooth 57 which engages in a recess 15 in the piston 8 when the liquid in a reservoir 3 feeding the pump falls below a certain level. The tooth 57 is carried on a pivotally mounted arm 51 to which is secured a float 54 in the reservoir. The pump has a bucket valve 19, an outlet valve 29 and a pressure relief valve 37 the discharge from which returns to the reservoir 3 through a sight dome 39. The reservoir has a window 49, a filler cap 47 and filter 48. Two or more parallel pistons and cylinders may be arranged below the reservoir. The pump is actuated by a hand lever 41 but may be mechanically actuated, e.g. by an electric motor.
