Class 44 [Also in Group X] A fastener comprises a single strip metal bent to U-shape so as to have a longer limb 10 and a shorter limb 11 joined by a base 12, a pair of prongs 16, formed in one limb 11, which are directed inwardly and towards the base, a catch 19 formed on the longer limb which is directed outwardly and away from the base, and, formed in the base, a tongue 14 which is directed outwardly of the fastener. As shown, a pair of prongs 18 is also sheared and bent out of the limb 10 and the fastener is applied over a flange 22 formed by a pair of panels 20, 21 to retain a beading 23.
