Class 89(1) A rivet for securing panels or a moulding and panel together, comprises a strip of malleable metal bent at 10 to form diverging legs 12, the ends of which are reverselybent at 14 and extend into parallel-legs 18. also reversely-bent as at 20. The ends 22 of legs 12, 14 are widened to form a head. Clinching is effected by squeezing the diverging-legs together and causing bending about 10, with divergence of the legs 18, 20. Specification 686,947 is referred to.
