639,227. Capping strips. STANDARD PATENT GLAZING CO., Ltd., ATKINSON, G., and BOTTOMLEY, W. H. Aug. 27, 1947, No. 23625. [Class 20 (iii)] Flashing or capping 4 in the form of a strip of metal bent around the projecting upper vertical flange 2 of a glazing bar 1 is secured thereon by one or more bifurcated rivets 6 held by clenching one end of said rivet or rivets over a washer 7 at one side of the flashing or capping. The flashing is preferably resilient so that it may be sprung into place, and lateral extensions 5 dressed down on to the glass 3.
