March 4, 1954 [Dec. 4, 1953], No. 33793/53, Class 146(3) [Also in Grotip XXIV] An outer sleeve-like member is frictionally mounted on an inner tubular member for the transmission of torque from one member to the other by a resilient coupling member passing through the inner member such that its ends engage with the inside of the outer member, the coupling member being pressed inwardly against its resilience. As applied to a propelling pencil, the rearward end portion 5b of tubular magazine 5 is rotatably secured to the metal lining 10 of a cap 9 by means of a spring clip 12 engaging diametrically opposite slots 11 in the portion 5b. The spring clip 12 projects beyond the periphery of the portion 5b to slidably engage the lining 10. The slots 11 are longer than the clip 12, the clip 12 being maintained against the forward edge of the slot by an annular washer, not shown. or by an annular ridge 14.
