Abstract

654,725. Lipstick holders'and the like. ASSOCIATED INTERNATIONAL PRESSWORK, Ltd. Aug. 19, 1949, No. 21936. [Class 18] A holder for two lipsticks or the like, 9, 10, comprises a double-ended carrier member 7, Fig. 2, slidably mounted within a longitudinally slotted barrel member 12 that is encased in a split sleeve 14 having a helical slot or groove 15, the carrier 7 having a projection 11 extending through the longitudinal slot 13 and into the slot 15 so that rotation of the sleeve 14 relative to the barrel 12 will move the carrier to project a lipstick from one end or the other. The split sleeve 14 is enclosed in and connected to an operating sleeve 19 having a ring 23 that provides a seating for an end cap 22, the opposite end cap 26 being mounted on a ferrule 25 carried by an extension 24 of the barrel 12 which is also provided with a seating ring 17. A decorative sleeve element 27 may be inserted between the rings 17, 23.
