Abstract
780,362. Check valves. HOERBIGER, M. July 1, 1955 [Sept. 13, 1954], No..19102/55. Class 135. In plate-type check valves for compressors comprising a valve seat 1, a valve plate 4, one or more spring plates 5, and a guard plate 3, each having a number of concentric segmental ports or passages, the valve plate and the spring plate or plates are guided and prevented from rotating by a guiding element 6 having the crosssection of a splined shaft with more than two splines at least one of which is displaced through a small angle # from a position of uniform spacing. As shown, the element 6 has three splines 7, 8, 9. The element 6 is angularly located with respect to the seat 1 and the guard 3 by pins 10, 11 arranged in holes in the three parts at different radial distances r1, r2 from the valve axis. In a modification the pins 10, T1 are dispensed with and the guiding element 6 is arranged to engage correspondingly profiled recesses in the valve seat 1 and the guard plate 3.
