A lifting attachment for a tractor comprises a frame 12 of #, # or # shape pivotedat 122 to the power-operated lift links 10, and at 15 to the top link 16; a waisted roller 14 journalled. on a shaft 123 secured to the frame and a chain or cable 18 which is anchored to the tractor at 171 and carries a load-lifting hook 181. In operation upward movement of arms 10 raises the hook and calipers 19 suspended therefrom.
