Abstract

779,884. Photo-transistor circuits. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Dec. 1, 1954 [Dec. 4, 1953], No. 34812/54. Class 40 (3). [Also in Group XL (c)] At least one connection between the terminals 11, 11<SP>1</SP> or 12, 121 is constituted by a photo - transistor 24, a light source 7 causing it to present a low or high resistance. Resistors 21, 22 of intermediate value increase the signal attenuation when a high resistance is in the series path but have little effect when the photo-transistor presents a low resistance. The photo-transistor and light source may be used to limit a signal, Fig. 5 (not shown).
