Abstract

778,342. Colour television tubes. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. July 8, 1955 [July 12, 1954], No. 19840/55. Class 39(1). The apertured plate electrode 8 on the cathode side of a multi-colour phosphor screen 7 of a colour television tube is made of soft magnetic material e.g. an alloy of Ni and Fe with a small quantity of Cu, Cr or Mo, and is formed with a skirt 9 so that by overlapping with an external sheath 10 the main part of the electron beam plate is screened from interference by external magnetic fields.
