Abstract
776,951. Fertilizer distributers. MASSEYHARRIS-FERGUSON (MANUFACTURING), Ltd. Dec. 22, 1955 [Dec. 22, 1954], No. 36993/54. Class 6(1). Means for mounting a revolving distributer pan 14 above a frame member 15 comprises an upright spindle 17 positioned in holes 16 in the member 15 and held by a spring clip 27 so that the spindle is forced upwardly to hold the pan 14 against the bottom of a hopper of the machine. As shown the spring clip engages the top of the spindle and is bowed around the frame member, the lower end of the clip being provided with a recess which is sprung over a U-shaped guide 33 fixed to the bottom of the spindle. When the clip is released the spindle may be lowered to allow the pan 14 to be removed, the spindle being retained in the member 15 by means of a projection on the spindle. The bottom of each pan is formed with a spherical-shaped recess into which projects the rounded top of the spindle thus allowing the pan to align itself against the bottom of the hopper. The machine may be connected to a tractor by means of a drawbar or the machine may be mounted on the power lift system of a tractor.
