Abstract

1,204,888. Sowing machine. R. W. WINTER. 5 Sept., 1968 [8 June, 1967], No. 26447/67. Heading A1D. A movable closure plate 16 for the outlet 18 of hopper 14 is eccentrically mounted via rod 20 to ground wheel 10, whereby rotation of the wheel positions alternate apertures 28 directly below or clear of the outlet 18. A plate 26 retains the seeds while below the outlet 18 but when the plate 16 reciprocates the seed is moved clear and drops to the coulter 34 or is ejected by means of wire members 40 pivoted on the machine frame. The movement of closure plate 16 may be rotatory.
