Abstract

678,754. Agricultural implements. STANDEN & SONS, Ltd., F. A., and STANDEN, P. April 23, 1951 [May 2, 1950], No. 10788/50. Class 6(i) To enable a wheeled agricultural implement to work across sloping or inclined land, the axle 1 is pivotally connected at one end on a vertical axis to the machine frame and at its other end is supported in a horizontally elongated bearing 4a carried on the frame 6, thereby the axle can be moved horizontally about the vertical axis. As shown a roller 3 is mounted on the axle 1 and slides in the bearing 4a. A forked lever 8 is provided to adjust the position of the axle 1 and is held in position by means of a pawl 11 which co-operates with a quadrant 7.
