Class 99(1) Two concentric sleeves a and b are connected together around their circumferences over a portion c intermediate their ends whilst at each end d the outer sleeve b is separated from the sleeve a by an annular space e into which the pipes to be connected are inserted, the inner sleeve a having a part h at each end that extends into the corresponding pipe in frictional engagement therewith; an adjustable spring clip is secured around each extremity d of the outer sleeve. The inner sleeve may be formed of rubber, synthetic rubber or plastic and the outer sleeve may comprise fabric-reinforced rubber or synthetic rubber, the two sleeves having different degrees of resiliency and being interconnected by vulcanization.
