Abstract

776,756. Aerials. BELLING & LEE, Ltd. Dec. 22, 1955 [Dec. 10, 1954], No. 35798/54. Class 40(7) Aerials intended for reception on different frequencies or bands of frequencies and including elements of differing lengths are linked to a common feeder by a network or plurality of networks housed inside an insulator which forms a support for at least one of the aerial elements. In one embodiment two aerial systems respectively designed for operation on different television bands are mounted on a common support means or separately, and the common support (or support for the lower frequency system as the case may be) is carried by an insulator housing a high pass filter and a low pass filter. The input terminals of the low-pass filter are connected to the active elements of the lower frequency system and the input terminals of the high-pass filter to the active elements of the higher frequency system. The outputs of the networks are coupled to a common feeder. Interaction between the aerial systems is reduced by the use of the filter networks. Specification 776,755 is referred to.
