Abstract

869,783. Aerials. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO. Ltd. Oct. 1, 1959 [April 15, 1959], No. 12876/59. Drawings to Specification. Class 40(7). A polarization screen comprises a plurality of unconnected resonant conductors arranged to re-radiate a field substantially equal to and 180 degrees out of phase with the field of undesired polarization running in the direction of the length of the conductors. The conductors are electrically #/2 long and spaced from one another by n #/2 and from the aperture of an aerial system by m #/4 where n is any integer and m is an odd integer. The aerial system described is a slotted waveguide and reflector or a slotted tower. Specification 827,083 is referred to.
