Abstract

884,337. Radio transmission systems; aerials. NEW ENGLAND, UNIVERSITY OF. June 5, 1959 [Oct. 16, 1958], No. 19243/59. Classes 40(5) and 40(7). Apparatus to generate and transmit R.F. pulses comprises a circular arrangement of sets of units, together forming a tank circuit, each set consisting of a condenser C between a pair of coils L, Fig. 1; spark gaps S between adjacent sets, and charging resistors R connected to said condensers and to a source of potential, the tank circuit being so extended spatially as to constitute a magnetic dipole aerial.
