Class 8(2) Entry of suction air through a front opening 12a, Fig. 1 of a cubicle 12 housing a swing frame grinder 10 having its hooded wheel 11 projecting through the opening is confined to the vicinity of the wheel 11 irrespective of its orientation by doors 17, Fig.. 4 hinged to the vertical sides of the opening and flaps 17a hinged to the free vertical edges of the doors. The door assembly is urged by a spring 18 (Fig. 2, not shown) against a member 10c of the grinder and the aperture above the grinder is closed by a rubber curtain 19, The wheel hood 15 is connected by ducts 15a, 15b and a flexible duct 15c to a suction manifold 16 which also has a connection 16a to the interior of the cubicle 12.
