Abstract
776,208. X-ray tubes. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. April 1, 1955 [April 2, 1954], No. 9564/55. Class 39(1). In an X-ray tube in which the rear side of the anode 2 is cooled by thin jets of liquid sprayed through apertures 8 in a wall 7, the apertures are confined to an area corresponding to the focal area on the target 3. The thickness of the anode may accordingly be reduced. The unitary cooling tube assembly 6, 10 keys into a locating groove in the anode so as to align the apertured area correctly.
