A tier 8 comprises two chock members each comprising two hollow members 10 connected by a plate 9 the two chock members being connected together by plates 15 with hooks 14. Further similar tiers are mounted on one another but turned through a right angle to the tier below. The lowest tier is mounted on four hollow members 3 of square cross section welded on a base plate 1 and connected together by plates 5. A top plate 16 carries two locking plates 17 connecting two chock members and also known chock releases 19 connected by plates 21 and engaging the top chock members by hooks 20. A chock member may comprise two concrete blocks 37, Fig. 2, cast round the ends of a metal plate 30 in which is a V-bend 31 to the apex of which is welded a rod 32 having also welded to it a channel 35 having a flange 39 to engage the connecting plates between chock members. The rod 32 is bent at both ends to form at the lower end the chock member connecting hooks and at the upper end in association with a recess 38 a seat for a hook.
