Class 126 In an oven having double walls forming a jacket containing fluid, the outside shell of the jacket being heated and heat transferred to the inside shell by convectional circulaton, an intermediate shell divides the jacket into inner and outer zones. The side and bottom walls of an oven are in the form of an air jacket with an inner wall 14 and an outer wall 12. An intermediate shell 21 extends between the front and rear closures of the jacket. Gaps 24, 25 at the top of the intermediate shell allow air heated by any suitable means applied to an external side wall to circulate into the inner part of the jacket round the oven and back by way of the outer part of the jacket.
