601,600. Stoves. BARROW, J. K. March 5, 1945, No. 5498. [Class 126] [Also in Group XIII] A domestic open or closed fireplace is provided with a water heater comprising a header casing 21 mounted within and towards the back of the fireplace and Field tubes 28 of which the upper ends of the inner and outer tubes are connected to different parts of the header casing so that water circulates down the inner tubes and up the outer tubes. The front of the open fireplace may be closed by removable doors 16, 18 which are accommodated in a recess in a fender 19 when not in use, the lower door 16 being lined with fireclay to support a deep fire.
