572,255. Hot-water boilers. WHITE, V. G. Jan. 27, 1944, No. 1577. [Class 64 (i)] [Also in Group XI] A domestic waterheating stove is fitted with a movable firebasket 10 supported on feet 11 so that it can be drawn forwards to serve as a room heater or pushed back into the recess 4 to heat the water in the boiler space 1, 2. The front of the stove is adapted to be closed by a pair of hinged doors 8, 9, which may be hollow to serve as heaters for air which, entering an inlet at the upper end of the front face, passes to the recess 4 through an outlet at the bottom of the inner face. At the sides of the front of the stove are fitted wing plates 5A which are inclined outwardly as shown in Fig. 3 to form a flared opening for the passage of air to the recess 4. The boiler 1, 2 may, instead of being of block form as shown, consist of two side headers connected at their upper ends by water tubes.
