Abstract
771,739. Transformers. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 9, 1955, No. 22948/55. Addition to 739,497. Class 38 (2). A high voltage current transformer as claimed in the parent Specification is modified as shown in Fig. 3 for use with the conductors A, B, C to a T-off junction, the conductors A, B, C forming the primary windings of the current transformers and associated with individual insulating bushings 2, 3, 4, respectively, the associated cores and secondary windings being located within the metal shell 1. In another embodiment the conductors A, C are carried jointly through the insulating bushing 3 to the conductor B, two secondary windings 10, 11 or 12, 13 being provided on each of conductors A, C only, the windings 11, 13 being connected so as to indicate the vector difference of the currents in conductors A, C, that is, the current in conductor B. In yet another embodiment only one secondary winding is provided on conductors A, C, only.
