The tines of a buck rake are made wholly of resilient metal, e.g. spring steel or aluminium alloy. The rake comprises a cross-beam 1 provided with pairs of aligned holes X, Y in which the tines 2 are secured by bolts 4 engaging holes in the tines and lugs 3 secured to beam 1. The holes X are vertically elongated to allow the angle of each tine to be adjusted by packing washers 4a. Beam 1 is secured to a frame F provided with a central upright 9, and a pair of lugs 14 which are pivotally attached to the rear draft links 15 of a tractor. A link 10, pivoted to the upper draft link 11 at 11a and to the upright 9 at 9a, is normally latched to upright 9 by a stirrup 12, but when the stirrup is lifted, by anti-clockwise movement of lever 13 about pivot 9c, the rake tips to discharge its load. An inclined surface 9b on upright 9 facilitates movement of stirrup 12 to the latching position when the fork is returned to the position shown. In a modification (Fig. 2, not shown), the bolts 4 pass through the web of beam 1 between flanges 1a, 1b, and lugs 3 are dispensed with. In another modification (Fig. 3) a tubular beam 6 is provided with horizontally opposed series of tine-engaging holes, and bolting lugs 7. In a further modification (not shown), bolts 4 pass through holes in the upper surface of tube 6 and engage threaded holes in the tines.
