Abstract

A volatile liquid hydrocarbon fuel for internal combustion engines contains up to 2 per cent by volume of diacetone alcohol. The fuel may comprise a mixture of mineral hydrocarbons, with or without hydrocarbons produced by destructive distillation. The fuel composition may also include up to 1 per cent by volume of a refined mineral oil. Examples of compositions are described which include tetraethyl lead. Specification 694,965 is referred to.
