Abstract
Hydrocarbon motor fuel is improved by adding trimethyl-ethyl lead, dimethyl-diethyl lead, or triethyl-methyl lead; halides also may be added. Specification 487,986, the use as antidetonants of lead tetramethyl, tetra-ethyl, tetra-propyl, and of mixtures of lead tetraethyl and tetra-methyl, and gasolines containing considerable proportions of pentane and hexane are referred to.
