Abstract

769,159. Kinematograph cameras. PAILLARD SOC. ANON. May 12, 1955 [June 16, 1954], No. 13716/55. Class 97(1) A camera comprises an objective carrier, particularly a turret, and a stationary reflex viewing device comprising a prism 9, shown in plan, placed between objective and shutter, the prism being mounted in a frame 10 pivotally mounted on the camera casing so that the prism can be swung forwardly for cleaning the rear surface 11. The prism contains an inclined semi-reflecting surface by which an image is formed on the upper, diffusing, surface of the prism and observed by a viewfinder optical system. The pivot 12 is carried on a plate 14 secured to the camera body by screws 17 engaging holes slotted to provide lateral adjustment. Two screws 18, one above the other, provide an adjustment of the inclination of the pivot axis. A spring 21 retains the frame 10 in the operative position.
