A parallax panoramagram is produced by taking a series of separate pictures with a camera which is moved so that its optical axis is kept directed at the centre of interest of the scene while the light-sensitive material is moved along a straight line, and then projecting the pictures in turn on to a sheet of photosensitive material placed behind a lenticulated screen by means of a projector which is moved along a line parallel to the screen while its optical axis is kept trained at the same point. As shown in Fig. 1, the camera 1 is movable along a base 6 on which is adjustably mounted a rod 14 on a pivot 15. By engagement with the rod 14, a pin 13 on a wedge 11 arranged for movement along a guide 12 as the camera is displaced laterally causes the camera lens holder 7 to be displaced along a guide 8 so that the camera axis is displaced relatively to the film 2. Alternatively the wedge device may be replaced by a pivoted lever having a pin 13 on one arm engaging the rod 14 and on the other arm a gear sector engaging a rack on the lens holder or a pin and slot connection with the lens holder. Other arrangements are also described employing racks and threaded members for effecting the displacement of the camera axis so that it is always directed at the same point. In a further arrangement (Fig. 10, not shown), the camera is supported on a carriage movable along rails perpendicular to the central direction of the camera axis and the camera is pivoted so as to be directed always at the object by a rod pin- and-slot connected to the camera and having a roller which engages an inclined ramp. Similar arrangements to those used for taking are employed for projection printing the pictures on to a light-sensitive surface covered by a lenticular screen.
