Abstract

768,064. Rotary pumps and motors. FRAGER, M., and MENARD, H. March 9, 1955 [March 11, 1954; Feb. 1, 1955], No. 6925/55. (Class 110 2). A rotary pump, motor or compressor comprises a rotor 1 of oval cross-section which is vertically arranged in a substantially cylindrical stator and provided with a cross-piece 7-14 shaped as shown, the stator 15 having ports 27, 28 (see Fig. 5, not shown). The working medium may be hydraulic fluid. The device may constitute an internal combustion engine, in which case the stator is provided with a valve-controlled inlet port 35, an exhaust port 34 and an injector or sparking plug 33 (see Fig. 8, not shown). The cross-piece may be modified (see Figs. 9, 10 and 11, not shown) and the rotor may be cooled and lubricated by oil circulation through the shafts 13, 14.
