Abstract

765,567. Lamp-holders. COLE, Ltd., E. K., and HUTCHINGS, E. L. Jan. 26, 1955 [Jan. 26, 1954], No. 2283/54. Class 38(1). A holder for a bayonet cap lamp comprises a metal plate A from which are stamped upstanding lugs B<SP>1</SP>, B<SP>2</SP> formed with bayonet slots and located on the periphery of an opening in the plate. An insulating plate D carrying cyelet contacts E is resiliently supported on the other side of plate A by eyelets H surrounded by springs J which urge the two plates together. The plate D can thus rock to accommodate differences in dimensions of the contacts of a lamp inserted through the opening in plate A.
