Abstract

764,549. Powder distributers. ALLERSMA, B. P. Dec. 7, 1954, No. 35353/54. Class 6(1). A powder distributer comprises a plurality of distributing nembers arranged below a hopper 2 and extending across the machine and discharging at mutually different lateral distances from the vehicle and disposed one after the other in the direction of travel of the machine and rotary deflecting means situated at the discharge end of each member. As shown the distributing members comprise endless belts 6 which may be trough-shaped in cross-section, the belts being mounted on pulleys carried by shafts 7 which in Fig. 1 also carry wheels 20 provided with blades 21. The rotary deflectors may be in the form of a disc 18 fitted with pins or blades 19 and may be mounted in a vertical axis. Alternatively a paddle-like wheel 45 may be mounted on a transverse axis as shown in Fig. 10. The hopper may be provided with a bladed disc rotatable about a vertical axis which feeds material to adjustable openings. Alternatively two longitudinally extending rotors may be mounted in the bottom of the hopper for delivering material to the belts. Specification 669,705 is referred to.
