Abstract

758,402. Manure distributers. NODEN, R. June 13, 1955 [June 11, 1954], No. 17161/54. Addition to 756,152. Class 6 (1). In a modification of the tractor-mounted manure drill described in the parent Specification, the distributing device comprises a semicylindrical trough 15 having holes 25 in its base, pocketed wheels 40 being arranged coaxially within the trough above each hole and having side plates which fit close to the inside of the trough so that material carried around by the pockets is discharged through the holes. The pockets are formed by radial vanes 42 and a hub 43 and scoops 41 are formed in the edges of the side-plates to impel material into the pockets. Baffles 44, bridging the side plates, co-operate with the scoops 41. The trough has flanges 16 which slide between rails 14 on hopper-frame and are located thereon by pins (not shown). Several wheels 40 are mounted on the common shaft 20 which is driven from a pulley on one of the tractor driving-wheels.
