761,202. Spectacle frames. TARDY, R Oct. 11, 1954 [Oct. 16, 1953], No. 29169/54. Addition to 688,180. Class 97(1) Each lens of a pair of spectacles is mounted in a flexible rim having apertures or recesses engaged by a pair of hook-like projections on a metal mounting bar carrying side arms one projection being disposed adjacent the nose-piece portion of the bar and the other adjacent the respective side arm, engagement of hooks and recesses being effected by temporary deformation of the rim. As shown the frame compries two inner bar portions 1 each secured to a central bridge 9 and carrying temple connections 10. Behind each portion 1 is secured a bar 15 bent to provide at each end 16 to a hook-like section 17 to engage holes 19 in a lens rim 18, the latter being elastically deformed to permit insertion of the sections 17. Alternatively the sections 17 may be carried directly by the bar portions 1 and may be bifurcated to engage corresponding holes in the rims to prevent rotation thereof.
