Abstract

726,650. Spectacles. VERGILE, A. M. R. C. DE. Dec. 23, 1953 [April 27, 1953], No. 35739/53. Class 97 (1). In a pair of clip-on eye-glasses, having a resilient bridge 2, hooks 3 are provided on the bridge 2 for engagement with the bridge of a pair of spectacles and hooks 5 are provided on the glasses 1 so that on bending the glasses 1 in the direction of the arrows they can be engaged under the glasses of the spectacles. Preferably the bridge 2 is of resilient wire having hooks 3 formed by bends in the wire. The wire is continuous and is attached to the glasses 1 at 4. The glasses 1 may be tinted to ensure protection from the sun.
