A sheet support of transparent material, e.g. formed by injecton moulding, comprises several individual supports 2a, 2b preferably which can be tilted forwards and removed from the typewriter, &c. The lower end of each support is provided with metal pins 3 (not shown) which engage in spring bearings 4. Margin indicating. The central support is provided with an extractable ruler 6 with a scale 7 for indicating the depth of the bottom margin.
