Abstract

808,976. Copying-lathes. BATIGNOLLESCHATILLON. Sept. 5, 1955 [Sept. 6, 1954], No. 25403/55. Class 83 (3). A copying-lathe having a templet mounted on an oscillatable-support, the axis of which is parallel to the machine-axis, has means for holding the support in successive positions to determine the depth-of-cut by a stop or stops fast with the bed and co-operating with a member secured to the templet-support. A templet 5 is held between centres secured in holders 4 which are slidable along a flat-guide 3 (shown broken away in the Figure). The guide is secured to arms 1a of a support 1 pivoted about a member 2 secured to the machine-frame. Stop-members secured to a stationary part of the machine bear against the flat surface of the guide 3 to determine the depth-of-cut. One set of adjustable stopscrews may be brought into position selectively by turning a handle, Fig. 2 (not shown), and a second stop 11 for the finishing-cut is adjustable by a handle 12 and is secured to the tailstock 10.
