Abstract

759,957. Napkin covers. V. G. (INVERNESS), Ltd. March 14, 1955 [April 27, 1954], No. 12135/54. Class 141. In a knicker-like garment comprising a twoply waterproof sheet having a wide rear end 12 to be positioned at the back of the waist and secured to a narrow front end 13 by co-operating press stud fasteners 26-33, plastic strips 23, 24 are positioned within a hem 16, 16<1> at the rear end 12 being secured thereto by the press stud members 26-29 and adjustment is effected by draw tapes 35, 36 secured to the strips. The sides 14, 15 of the garment are adjustable by draw tapes 38-41 anchored at 42-45 in hems 17, 18 and 19, 20 to allow gathering over a portion only of the sides.
