Class 60 An abrasive grinding, polishing or cutting disc consists of a single element having equal sectors or segments 11, 12 projecting alternately in opposite directions from a central plane transverse to the axis of rotation. The sectors or segments 11, 12 are formed by removing layers of (material of uniform thickness from opposite sides of a moulded disc of rectangular cross section. The finished disc, which may have an artificial resin bond, is of uniform thickness with the inner faces of the sectors or segments overlapping the central plane. The disc is preferably made from a material of sufficient resilience to prevent breakage by centrifugal force.
