Abstract

751,935. Fluid-pressure brakes. KNORRBREMSE GES. Sept. 20, 1954 [Sept. 19, 1953], No. 27168/54. Addition to 751,070. Class 103 (1). In order to prevent the risk of sudden discharge from the constant pressure control chamber 5 to the main air supply line 15 in a triple valve air brake system of the type described and claimed in Specification 751,070 when the brakes are being released and when the residual pressure in the brake cylinder 29 is such as to permit the spring 53 to raise the valve 55 of the control device 47 off its seat 62 to permit full flow through the momentarily enlarged cross-section of the sensitivity bore of the control device 47 between the constant pressure control chamber 5 and the triple valve chamber 7 and hence the main air supply line 15, an additional restriction member 120 is provided which operates in an additional chamber 122 in series with the control device 47 to cause adequate restriction of the communication between the constant pressure control chamber and the main air supply line.
