A dual circuit vehicle braking system includes a braking pressure regulator 35 arranged in one circuit supplying the rear axle 30 which regulator at a predetermined point in braking throttles the pressure, an interruption device also being provided to interrupt the operation of the regulator in dependence on the pressure in the second circuit 33. The device includes a spring-loaded piston acting on a valve and leakage in front circuit 33 for example would cause the device to allow full braking pressure in the rear circuit.
