Abstract

1281471 Load-responsive fluid brakes AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [19 Feb 1970] 8024/70 Heading F2F In a dual circuit load-responsive braking system having a pump 16 charging accumulators 18, 19 from a reservoir 17 and including a loadresponsive valve 24 controlling braking pressure the valve 24 has passages through which fluid pressure in the respective circuits is transmitted to the brakes, said passages being controlled by separate closure devices 36, 39 urged to an open position by common spring 53 the loading of which is controlled by the loading of the vehicle, the pressure acting on the brakes opposes the said spring and the arrangement is such that the opposing force is the same whether one or both circuits are operative.
