Abstract

751,920. Lubricating. WANTENAAR, A. J. Aug. 16, 1954, No. 23744/54. Class 12 (3). A lubricator comprises a container 1 for lubricant, in which is provided a hollow cylinder 2 fitted at one end with an adjustable valve 4 which can be opened by operation of a rod 3. Lubricant is supplied to the container through opening 7. Steam or air under pressure is supplied to the container 1 by way of an inlet pipe 17, a pipe 19 and a ball valve 25, and is also supplied by way of a pipe 10 to a chamber 11 surrounding the lower section of the rod 3 whereby the discharge of lubricant to bearing points is facilitated. The rod 3 is reciprocated by movement of a cam-like member 9 formed with raised portions on the upper surface. The member 9 may be reciprocated manually or mechanically.
